Job Description / Summary

  • The drive away driver will safely drive vehicles to and from various locations.
  • The lot driver will operate vehicles (driving, parking, and staging) in support of sale day events and general auction operations.
  • FLSA – Non-Exempt, Part-Time Variable Hours, typically 28 hours or less a week.

Responsibilities of a drive away driver:

  • Drive vehicles as dispatched to you in a safe and lawful manner
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly
  • Maintain professional, courteous & respectful behavior for customers & co-workers at all times.
  • Perform detailed vehicle inspections
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Ability to drive a variety of vehicles
  • Other duties as assigned by my supervisor

Responsibilities of a Lot driver

Note: Auction lot positions may vary with responsibility and attentiveness

  • Drive assigned vehicles through auction lanes on sale days
  • Drive and park vehicles on auction property
  • Fast-paced environment lot duties may also include:
    • Vehicle prep for staging
    • Patio staging prior to going into the auction
    • Battery operator
    • Take photos of the vehicles for auction
    • Lane Leaders
  • Other duties as assigned by my supervisor

Qualifications and Physical Demands

  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR
  • Minimum age of Twenty-two (22) years
  • Be able to frequently: walk long distances, bend, stoop, sit for long durations, climb in and out of transport vans and vehicles. Must possess the ability to manually manipulate with hands, arms and legs the vehicle’s controls for safe operation. Be able to push, pull and/or move up to 40 lbs. of equipment, example; Battery charging cart on grass, gravel or pavement.
  • Drivers must be able to speak and read English well enough to understand highway traffic signs and to converse with law enforcement
  • Work Environment: outdoors in all types of weather, moving in and out of all types of vehicles

This position is located at our corporate office in Maryland Heights, MO. Full-time Monday - Friday, during training hours, may vary.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Place/Receive calls for 3rd parties.
  • Coordinate and dispatch multiple vehicles, drivers.
  • Answer customer calls, perform various duties related to dispatch.
  • Administrative and clerical duties.

Preferred skills but not required:

  • Call Center and/or Dispatch experience.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and very organized.
  • Handle challenging work environment and work well under pressure.

Job Description / Summary

  • Car hauling specialists inspect, load/unload and safely move vehicles to and from various locations.

Car hauling specialists are responsible for the following:

  • Transport customer vehicles as dispatched to you
  • Perform a detailed inspection of each vehicle
  • Secure vehicles while working on top of an auto carrier trailer (approximately 10 feet off the ground) with minimal workspace
  • Customer Service Focus- Maintain professional and courteous behavior for customers and co-workers at all times
  • Complete paperwork in an efficient and timely manner with the training and tools provided
  • Operate all vehicles in a safe manner and in compliance with all company policy and procedures and traffic laws and regulations

Qualifications and Physical Demands

  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to communicate and read in English as the primary language
  • Computer literate, familiar with mobile applications for routes and delivery
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions
  • Appropriate valid License based on vehicle size
    • Must have current class E for 2 car rollback position
  • Driving record must meet insurance carrier standards
  • Previous car hauling experience of at least one year preferred or successful completion of approved training
  • Must have a current DOT medical card, and TWIC card (OTR driver)
  • Age requirement Twenty-three (23) years of age or older
  • Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, sit for long durations, secure vehicles using a tie-down bar in tight areas of an auto carrier trailer.
  • Must be able to push, pull weights up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to complete all driving tasks in all types of weather conditions.
  • Minimum education, GED or high school diploma.
  • Clear vision to perform functions of the position and pass DOT physical.

Safety and Policies

  • Ability to manually manipulate controls for safe driving.
  • Observes all company policies and procedures with an emphasis on safety.
  • Maintains Elogs for safety compliance and report an accident and/or injury to your supervisor immediately.
  • Perform routine inspections and schedule preventive maintenance on assigned equipment in accordance with company policy

The Recruiting Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to Recruiters, Hiring Managers, and candidates throughout the recruitment process. JMN is seeking to fill Load Planner will work on the Transportation team and be responsible for planning as well as coordinating pick-up with delivery amongst other job duties. The load planner position covers a variety of tasks on a daily basis. The position is responsible for planning and coordinating pick-up and delivery according to our standards while maintaining a DOT safety standard.

Essential Duties

  • Review terminal aging and sold units prior to making loads each day.
  • Develop a plan to move as many of the sold units in conjunction with the oldest units from each location.
  • Communicate daily with the customer rep (FCA, VW, Ford) on any hot units that must be prioritized for the next day/week.
  • Work with the dealers that are calling and emailing on priority units for their store.
  • Review the unloadable report and work with on-site JMN lot attendants daily to resolve the issue that prevented a unit from being moved.
  • Place units on hold as needed for various issues.
  • Work with drivers to make sure they are completing the daily workloads assigned to them.
  • Build loads for drivers for each location the day prior to loading. Drivers like to start at different times so prior day building is a priority.
  • Build out loads with high volume while maintaining legal DOT compliance for height and weight restrictions. These will vary from state to state.
  • Utilize backhaul sites, JMN open orders report, and carrier contacts to try and secure backhauls for as many drivers as possible.
  • Send all backhaul orders through JMNorderentry.com to get loads put into VLMS system.
  • Send proper paperwork to drivers for any backhauls and instruct drivers to utilize the correct apps as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
